ABF's second Retail Banking Forum to kick off in Manila in March

It will also be held in four other ASEAN cities.

Now on its second year, Asian Banking and Finance's widely successful Retail Banking Forum will kick off in Manila on March 9. It will gather the archipelago's most influential thought leaders to discuss the biggest issues that the banking industry is currently facing.

The Manila leg will tackle issues such as stiffer competition from non-banking entities, the rise of mobile banking, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas' (BSP) consumer protection framework, and issues and opportunities in small business lending. The forum will also feature a special presentation by Diebold and Experian.

Speakers include industry leaders such as Miguel C. Villa-Real, Head of Corporate Communications, Philippine Veterans Bank; and Benel Lagua, Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer, Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP), among others. All sessions will be moderated by Tim Charlton, editor-in-chief and publisher of Asian Banking and Finance Magazine.

The second Retail Banking Forum will also be held in four other key cities across the region, namely Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Bangkok, and Singapore.

The Manila leg will be held at Makati Shangri-La from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM.
