Mizuho to fund Vietnam coal projects

Mizuho Corporate Bank will provide financial services for Vinacomin's investment projects.

"Vinacomin now needs large funds for its investment projects so it will enhance cooperation with foreign banks being its traditional partners," Vinacomin chairman Tran Xuan Hoa said in a statement.

Under a memorandum of understanding with the state-run Vietnam National Coal, Mineral Industries Holding Corp., or Vinacomin, Mizuho will provide financing and arrange short- and long-term loans for Vinacomin.
