BNP Paribas Wealth Management appoints Prashant Bhayani as CIO for Asia

He'll be delivering vital macro investment advice.

BNP Paribas Wealth Management has announced that Prashant Bhayani has joined the bank early 2016 as Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer, Asia. Based in Singapore, he reports to Arnaud Tellier, Head of Investment Services, Asia, BNP Paribas Wealth Management.

According to a release from BNP Paribas, Prashant is responsible for developing global asset allocations and investment strategies of the bank’s private clients in Asia in line with the global views of the bank in the various asset classes. His macro investment advice will be an important part of the bank’s investment thinking and portfolio construction. He will also support a broad range of investment research for relationship managers and high-net-worth clients.

Arnaud Tellier said, “We are delighted to on-board Prashant as Chief Investment Officer, Asia, BNP Paribas Wealth Management. His track record and depth of wealth management knowledge across asset classes, together with experience in developing and communicating pertinent analytical views will augment our investment offering. We are confident that Prashant’s views and portfolio guidance will be beneficial to our clients.”

Prashant has close to 25 years of multi-asset class management experience across equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, and alternative investments, gained from multi-national experience in Asia, the United Kingdom and the United States. Prior to joining BNP Paribas, he was Senior Global Investment Specialist with J.P. Morgan Private Bank in Singapore.

His earlier experience includes tenures as co-Chief Investment Officer and co-Founder, Managing Partner of Cork Street Capital Advisors, a global equity alternatives firm based in London, and Head Portfolio Manager for the International Growth Opportunities and European Specialist Fund Strategies at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, also based in London.
