Realsec certifies compliance of GRGBanking

Realsec certified the compliance of the EPP-002 model of GRGBanking with their Cryptosec Remote Key Loading (RKL) which based on cryptographic HSM last November.

According to a release, with more and more growing and complicated ATM network, how to find an efficient, secure, saving approach to distribute and administrate ATM Master Key becomes a very big issue for ATM deployers. Remote Key Loading gives the answer.

Remote Key Loading is the process of distributing the Terminal Master Key from a central administration point to the EPP (Encrypted PIN Pad)/PED (PIN Entry Device). It allows keys to be updated in a secure environment remotely over a network. Removing humans from the equation eliminates the possibility of human error or criminal activity from the update activity. And since uploading a new key remotely is both easier and more cost-effective than doing so manually, ATM deployers can update keys more frequently, making them less prone to attack. In the case of a suspected breach, new keys can be uploaded quickly.
